A Colorful Week in South America: VerverWerks on the Road
VerverWerks on the South American Road
Last week was a week of adventure, design and partnership development in Ecuador and Colombia. Upon arriving in Ecuador, the team and I hit the ground running to finally put the wheels in motion on some new straps I've been eager to create. We sat down with new partners to brainstorm on color schemes and are ecstatic with the first samples we've seen (the beautiful Ecuadorian weather and nature were a great source of inspiration this trip)! We're happy to say that VerverWerks will soon be offering a new type of woven strap (for bags, cameras and guitars) with a more rustic feel, as well as new color options in our original strap style!
As promised, we've also updated our website with individually-sold BAG STRAPS to combine with ANY bag. Check the link below for more...

A sample woven strap in custom VerverWerks colors. Expect to find this strap and others online in the next few weeks!
NEW Leather Goods Designs
I also met with the team responsible for production of our leather goods to discuss new product; many of our new ideas are based upon what you've been asking for. We're all excited for versatile fanny packs, duffel bags, totes and more coming soon!
A fanny pack prototype ~ we're still working on a few more changes!
Beautiful Ecuadorian street art.
A fun new tote design ~ this bag can be converted into solid leather with the use of a zipper!
Jewelry Design
From there, I visited with the artisan partner who handcrafts our fun fringe earrings to create more exclusive VerverWerks designs for Spring. We'll be expanding the Spring earring collection available online in the next few weeks. See the photos below for a sneak peek of what's coming!
Colombia
After Ecuador, I also ventured to Colombia in search of raw materials for production with the help of a guide. It's hard to describe, but Colombia has a certain palpable magic to it that makes it my favorite country in South America so far, and like always, I enjoyed the heck out of being there! A little bit of Colombian coffee, some arepas and that can-do Colombian attitude, and we were on our way and getting the lay of the land. Driving through such a lush, semi-tropical region where the mountains touch the sky was a true treat in and of itself!
Just one of the many faces of beautiful Colombia.
A visit to a Colombian tannery; these "bombas" are used to treat leather and apply color.
A stop for fresh juice to break up days and days of driving.

VerverWerks LATELY...
After traveling, it was time to get back to our weekend events! Last Saturday, we popped up with our friends Sage Soul ATX at "The Picnic" off Barton Springs and enjoyed a fun afternoon of live music and beautiful weather. The event featured unique Austin vendors like Get Stoned 512 and Mercedez Rex, and we hope to join Sage Soul for a SXSW event in March... Stay tuned!
